IEEE Trade Show Booth | Henkels & McCoy

Henkels & McCoy needed a custom fabricated trade show space for IEEE. H&M had acquired a 20′ x 20′ island space with great sight lines within the trade show hall. Given some direction, we knew we wanted to make the most use of the space by going tall. Another challenge to the IEEE exhibit design is that the show did not allow for hanging signs so we had to come up with a creative way to incorporate that as well. 

Preliminary Designs & Renders

Henkels & McCoy is quickly rising as a premier utility infrastructure network provider. So when they reached out to us for a custom 20×20′ trade show booth at IEEE we answered with a one-off exhibit fabrication and design that would stand proudly amongst their peers at the 2018 IEEE PES Conference in Denver. Preliminary renders were provided with features that included:

• Lockable storage/break room
• Custom fabricated branding elements 
• Faux planters, grass and fauna

Exhibit Fabrication for IEEE

Exhibit Fabrication was for the most part, relatively straightforward. The main exhibit structure was built using our modular framing and lightboxes but the “cherry on top” was the custom hanging sign which was constructed from a combination of acrylic and foam CNC routered letters. All which were suspended by a one-off miniature crane welded by our talented exhibit fabricators. This custom exhibit rental for IEEE was also designed so that the overall price was very affordable.

IEEE Event Installation

IEEE booth Install (and dismantle) was quick and painless. This was primarily due to the easy assembly of our modular trade show booth panels. The result was reduced labor costs and a booth that was finished way before most other exhibitors at the show. As you can see in the photo on the right, H&M’s trade show booth rental was finished while others were still building.

The Final Exhibit

The booth really speaks for itself. Everything from the custom hanging sign on top to the planters on bottom popped. Both H&M, as well as the Marketing Genome Team could not have been happier with the result.
